Description
Chinese porcelain covered jar, often referred to as a ginger jar. It features traditional underglaze blue decoration and sits atop a dark circular wooden display stand. The body showcases detailed hand-painted floral and foliate motifs, including stylized blossoms such as peonies or lotuses. A classic geometric Greek key (key-fret) border encircles the upper section. The matching domed lid is topped with a sculptural finial resembling a stylized flower or possibly a small foo-dog head. Two small curved side handles add to its traditional Chinese design. H: 10" | W: 7" — good condition.
