Description
A mid century modern ceramic vase by the Bishop California Ceramics studio. It has a rectangular form with a sculpted, raised leaf pattern in relief, and features an aqua blue-green glaze with the raised sections having a textured, dark brown or bronze finish. This resist or drip glaze style was popular in mid-century California pottery. Bishop California Ceramics was a company that produced decorative pottery, often in a Mid-Century Modern style. Pieces frequently featured glazes in colors like blue and brown, and often had textured or abstract design. This vintage pottery is associated with the mid-20th century, roughly 1940s-1960s. Marked "Bishop 2 California USA" at underside. H: 6.18" | W: 4.13" | L: 6.5" Good condition.
