Description

This set includes two traditional style Asian paddle or screen-style hand fans, known as tuanshan, historically used as court and decorative fans. Each fan is made with a fabric leaf stretched over a rigid frame and mounted on a smooth bamboo handle. Both feature colorful hand-painted designs and are trimmed with a multicolored striped braid along the edges. One fan depicts a serene aquatic scene with a red and yellow angelfish swimming among foliage against a blue gradient background, while the other illustrates bamboo stalks, red flowers, and a small blue bird in flight on a pale background. H: 9.5" | W: 5" each, good condition.
