Description
A ceramic art "Calypso Pot"by the artist Hiroshi Ogawa. Hiroshi Ogawa is a nationally recognized potter from Oregon, known for producing works of natural beauty in a traditional Japanese wood-firing (anagama) kiln. His philosophy incorporates a belief that nothing in nature is perfect, and he allows the intense heat and flame of the kiln to largely shape the final appearance of his pieces. His "Calypso Pots," feature a textured exterior that mirrors the rich, fibrous surface of a coconut. Ogawa is known for his unique forms and textures, and his works are often found in galleries and auctions alongside other Japanese studio pottery. H: 7" | W: 12" Good condition.
