Description
The Nikon FM, produced by Nippon Kogaku K.K. (Nikon) between 1977 and 1982, is a fully mechanical 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) film camera known for its reliability, precision, and solid metal construction. It features the Nikon F-mount, making it compatible with a wide range of Nikon lenses. The camera offers manual focus and exposure control, with through-the-lens (TTL) metering powered by a gallium arsenide phosphide photodiode and a 60/40 center-weighted metering pattern. Shutter speeds range from 1 second to 1/1000 second plus Bulb mode, with flash synchronization at 1/125 second. The FM supports ISO film speeds from 12 to 4000 and includes a standard ISO hot shoe for flash units. It can also achieve up to 3.5 frames per second with the optional MD-11 or MD-12 motor drive. This example includes a Nikkor lens made in Japan and a vintage woven camera strap. Approx. dimensions: H: 6" × W: 4". Good condition.
