Description
A Chinese lacquered stacked food box, also known as a wedding basket or lunch box. The box is typically made of wood and covered in red lacquer. It features a removable porcelain inset on the lid with hand-painted designs. The boxes are tiered, with multiple compartments for carrying food. At the base are four rectangular feet. They were historically used for carrying food to special events or as wedding baskets. Measures 7" and condition is good.
