Description
This early 20th-century Chinese porcelain statue depicts an emperor from the Qing Dynasty, commonly identified as the Yongzheng Emperor (reigned 1722–1735). The piece bears Qing Dynasty stamps on the bottom and reflects the artistry and craftsmanship associated with porcelain production of that period. The figurine is crafted from pottery or porcelain and finished with hand-painted multi-color enamel glazes in the famille rose or wucai style, both highly regarded decorative techniques that gained prominence during the Qing Dynasty. The emperor is dressed in a brown to reddish-brown robe embellished with blue, light blue, and white patterns, including stylized wave motifs near the base. He wears a traditional conical hat accented with yellow and blue details and holds a fan in his right hand. Around his neck hangs a string of black court beads, an emblem of rank and authority. Good condition.
