Description
This is a Chinese carved stone seal, also known as a chop or yìnzhāng, traditionally used as a personal signature stamp for documents, calligraphy, and artwork. It is carved from stone with natural variegated tones of reddish-brown, cream, and beige, exhibiting a marbled texture. The form consists of a rectangular block with a flat base intended for engraving. The top, or finial, features two rabbits carved in relief, a motif symbolizing longevity, prosperity, and happiness in Chinese culture. It measures approximately H: 5" × W: 1.5" and is in good condition.
