Program description

Placer Auction Services LLC ("Placer Auctions") operates an SMS program that sends recurring automated text messages to bidders and customers who opt in. There are two separate alert types, each with its own separate consent: marketing texts (new auction announcements and promotions) and account & bidding alerts (outbid alerts, auction-ending and pickup reminders, invoices, and related account or transaction notifications).

How to opt in

You opt in on our dedicated Auction Text Alerts sign-up page (placerauctions.com/page/consent) by entering your mobile number and checking the consent box for each alert type you want — marketing texts and/or account & bidding alerts. Each checkbox is unchecked by default, each consent is separate, and checking one does not enroll you in the other. If you have previously opted out, you may rejoin by texting START to any of our messages. Opting in is optional and is not part of account registration, bidding, or checkout. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of using placerauctions.com.

Message frequency & cost

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Opt out & help

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time; you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. You may also opt out at any time by emailing hello@placerauctions.com or calling (916) 313-3617. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@placerauctions.com.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. No mobile information or SMS opt-in data is shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
