Description
Schmid miniature grandfather mantle clock made in Germany. This 8-day key-wound clock features a uniquely designed swinging pendulum that is brass-toned adorned with a few red and green gemstones, housed in a gray-green case decorated with a muted gold and black floral design with metal and gilded finial and cabriole legs. A copper-tone framed glass door opens to a gold colored gilded face with raised black numbers and in small print are the words "Schmid" and "8 DAY". The clock is marked "Fabrik (SSS) Marke Prazision Graham-8tage". The paint is chipping on the inside of the clock and there are signs of wear on the outside of the clock. Functionality has not been tested for. Measures approximately 16" tall, 8" wide, and 3.5" deep.
