Description
Midcentury modern art sculpture by Bijan J. Bijan featuring a hot air balloon made of copper rising from a large chunk of banded onyx. The wires provide movement to the art. Artist's signature "Bijan" is on the base. Measures approximately 24" high and the base 8"x5". Great condition. Bijan was an Iranian-born Jewish-American artist and sculptor who founded the mid- 20th century Metal Art Movement, considered "The Father of Metal Sculpture".
