Description
Midcentury modern art sculpture by Bijan J. Bijan featuring brass birds held up by wire on a heavy, earth-toned banded onyx base. The wires provide movement to the art. Artist's signature "Bijan" is on the base. Measures approximately 11" tall and the base 5"x6". Great condition. Bijan was an Iranian-born Jewish-American artist and sculptor who founded the mid- 20th century Metal Art Movement, considered "The Father of Metal Sculpture".
