Description
This is an antique Seth Thomas “8 Day” Dropped Octagon “School House Clock”. This clock features a mahogany construction with an octagonal face section dominated by a large ivory-colored round clock face with Roman-style numerations and spade-shaped hands. The clock face is protected by a round glass dome with a brass frame that can be swung open to access the clock face. The lower section of the clock hangs down from the octagonal section and contains the pendulum for the clock. This space can also be used to hold the special wind-up key that it used to wind up the clock. The clock body itself measures approximately 24” x 16” x 5”. This clock has not been tested to verify if its functions are intact, but does appear to be in good condition.
