Description
This is a vintage Desktop Barometer made by Huger of West Germany. This barometer is nicknamed “Sputnik” due to its resemblance to the titular Soviet satellite, and is made from chrome plated steel and acrylic. The barometer itself is housed inside of an acrylic sphere that is held by a chrome plated meridian. The meridian is also held up by a chrome plated base. The entire assembly resembles that of a globe. The markings on the barometer are marked either by black on silver, or silver on black, with red needles indicating temperature and pressure. The assembly measures approximately 10” tall and 5” in diameter. This barometer is in fair condition due to some scratches and cracks present in the acrylic housing.
