Description
This is a large handmade wool tapestry made by Masana Tapestries. This tapestry was made in Bushbuckridge, a village near Kruger National Park in South Africa by the artisans that live in this village. Often these tapestries depict scenes from religious or folk tales, life around village, and hunting tales. This tapestry depicts what appears to be a village scene, made in the art style of the tribe. There is also a tag visible that explains the history of the tapestry and where it came from, as well a smaller tag with the names of the artists and inspectors. The tapestry measures approximately 80” x 75”, and is in good condition.
