Description
This is a vintage ladies diver watch made by Caravelle in 1973. Caravelle Watches are a sub-brand founded under Bulova since 1962, and is known for making “entry-level” watches. This particular watch is known as a “Devil Diver” because the Water Resistance is rated at “666 Feet”. Caravelle “Devil Divers” are known for their modern design as well. This watch features a stainless steel body with an adjustable bezel, and acrylic dome. The watch face features a modern design with no denominations on the black face; instead opting to utilize silver markings and graphics. The hands are stainless steel with small luminescent sections, and the design is dominated by a large yellow triangular second hand. The band is made from black leather with a polished stainless steel clasp. The watch is also powered by a wind-up movement that can be wound by turning the crown clockwise. The watch’s bezel measures approximately 1.25” or 32mm across, and the band can fit writs up to 2.2” in diameter. This watch still functions and is in good condition.
