Description
This lot contains a complete vintage Franklin Mint “Flags of the States” Silver Ingot set with a wood and glass display case, informative booklet, and care instructions. The Franklin Mint produced ingot sets for the Flags of America, Flags of the Revolution, Flags of Royalty, Flags of the States, Flags of the United Nations, Flags of the U.S. Territories, and Flags of Canada. This particular item is the full-sized “Flags of the States” ingot set that was originally minted between 1973-1974. Each ingot is made from 925 Sterling Silver and features a proof-quality state flag design on one side and the state’s outline on the reverse. Collectively, this set of ingots weighs approximately 50,000 grains or 104 troy ounces. The set comes in a custom display case with a brass plaque commemorating the minting of the set and the original owner. The case measures approximately 26.5” x 15” x 3.5”. Everything in this lot is in good condition.
