Description
This is a vintage hand painted wood carving of a saint. Called “Santos”, these effigies come from Mexico and other Spanish-speaking parts of the southwestern United States. These carving often depict different saints, and can often be found in Catholic households belonging to Spanish-speaking families. They are also common in Puerto Rico. This Santo features gold-colored and green robes, with dark brown hair and dark skin. This santo also features a red nose and pink tinted lips. It is unknown which saint this Santo depicts. The Santo measures approximately 15.5” tall, and is in fair condition.
