Description
This is a ceramic serving platter with an Inuit motif. The platter has an oxidized copper glaze and a elongated shape. The Inuit-style design on the platter resembled some sort of creature with spines on its back, and ears. The creature seems to resemble a bear. Under the platter the name “Powell Haines”, “Alaska-Copper Oar Glaze” [SIC], and “July 1959”. The platter measures approximately 19” x 5.5” x 2.5”, and is in good condition.
