Description
This lot contains an carved and polished chunk of white calcite that has been cut and polished into a tetradecagon, or 14-sided geometric shape. The shape features sides that consists of triangles and squares. When viewed from certain angles, this piece of calcite can “transform” from a square shape to a hexagonal shape. The calcite itself is mostly white in color with brighter bands of white underneath through the translucence. This piece of calcite also does not fluoresce under ultraviolet light. The piece measures approximately 2.5” x 2.5” x 2.5”, and is in good condition.
