Description
This lot features a vintage silver crane-shaped ashtray with intricate carvings made by Samurai Shokai of Yokohama, Japan. Each of the cranes wings feature intricately carved and shaped feathers that are outstretched to create a shallow bowl shape. The base of the ashtray has maker's mark which reads "Samurai Shokai Yokohama, Sterling". The statue measures approximately 6.5" x 5" x 3". There are two small breaks between feathers along the edge near the tail and a small bit of corrosion on the underside, otherwise good condition.
