Will Rafuse is a contemporary Canadian artist known for his bright colors and the slightly animated twist of subjects he paints. He works mainly in oils, and is inspired by artists like Modigliani, Gauguin and Balthus. His art is in the collection of corporations and individuals around the world. This particular piece is named “Jean Pierre” or “Jean Pierre the Chef, Baking”. The painting depicts the classical depiction of a highly skilled French chef working their kitchen. The painting is on a canvas that measures approximately 39.25” x 20”. There is some slight damage to the painting on the corners of the canvas, however the painting itself is fine and in good condition.
