Description
1983 Acoma Austin Prod Clay "La Madre" Native Mother & Child Sculpture. The sculpture is a hollow clay piece in an organic earth-tone tan with hints of terracotta pink. The piece is engraved on the back "Acoma, Austin Prod Inc 1983". Acoma is the name of the collection of Southwest sculptures designed by Austin's Art Director, Pamela Pierce, whose art is strongly influenced by the geometric patterns used by Native Americans, and especally the Pueblo Nation. Comes with a stand. Measures approximately 15.5"x 10"x 13.5". Good condition.
