Description
This lot contains a vintage mid-century stoneware sculpture of a raccoon made by American artist John H. Seymour. Seymour was known for his sculpted stoneware creations in the 1970s, and this particular piece dates from this period. The sculpture features painted details with a “marbled” finish for the fur, a painted face, and stripes for the “tail”. The artist’s signature is carved into the right side of the sculpture with a styled “CG” logomark and the copyright symbol. The sculpture measures approximately 11” x 7” x 3.5”, and is in good condition.
