Description
This is a vintage Johnson Brothers large porcelain oval serving platter with a depiction of a large turkey in an idyllic farm scene. The turkey is making its way through the brush and the fence to face the viewer with its tail feathers and wings on full display. The edges of the platter feature depictions of several fruits that are common during the Thanksgiving Season. On the reverse side of the platter, there is a thumbnail version of the Turkey illustration with the phrase “His Majesty” written above it, and the Johnson Brothers manufacturing information below it. There does not appear to be a date mark however. The platter measures approximately 20” x 16” x 1”, and is in good condition.
