Description
Large Antique 1800 Macklin Holy Bible Volume 1. Printed by Thomas Bensley for Thomas Macklin in London in the year 1800. Embellished with engravings, from pictures and designs by the most eminent English artists. According to some sources, this is the world's largest bible ever printed in mass using movable type on a letterpress. Measures approximately 20"x 16". The binding is coming undone, the book is fragile, there are some loose pages and age appropriate wear.
