Description
Vintage NRA Code Poster with artwork done by Charles Coiner. The Blue Eagle symbol depicts an eagle gripping bolts of lightning and a cog wheel in its claws. The National Recovery Act was established in 1933 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to stimulate business recovery, reduce unemployment, create fair trade, establish minimum wage and maximum work hours as well as collective bargaining during the Great Depression. Businesses that supported the National Recovery Administration placed the NRA symbol in shop windows. This poster, printed on poster board, measures approximately 11"x 14". There is some wear along the edges, especially the bottom corners.
