Description
Morris Chair Recliner w/Claw Feet. The chair has a reclining iron and rod mechanism in which the reclining of the back is controlled by a metal bar set in hooked back racks beneath the seat, with a metal push button on the right side. The metal is marked "Pat'd Oct 24, 1899 May 1, 1900". The chair has large wooden arms with lovely wood grain and there are carved details at the front. Comes with matching striped seat and back cushions, each with zippers. The chair rolls on wheels, although one of the front wheels is missing. Measures approximately 39"H x 32"W x 28.5"D. The back cushion color is a bit faded, and the reclining mechanism seems jammed and difficult to work. Overall good condition for age.
