Description
Lawrence Alma Tadema from Getty Museum of Los Angeles. The obscured arch on the left has inscription from the Arch of Trajan in Benevento, Italy which was completed approximately A.D. 114–118. Below it, the circular spandrel relief borrows the river god figure from the Arch of Constantine in Rome, which was completed about two hundred years later. This possibly depicts ancient Rome in the Spring. This is a large framed panoramic 21.5 wide x 46 tall. Local pickup preferred. Shipping quotes available upon request.
