Description
Mod British Birds Daisy Doll in "Swimsuit" Somers & Field of London. Designed by Doug James and Laura Meisner, two of the best known artists in the fashion doll industry. The Willow Somers and Daisy Fields dolls were created to fill the gap between the Gene doll and the contemporary Tyler Wentworth. Willow and Daisy (defined as Mod British Birds) are collectible vinyl fashion dolls with bodies that are strung together, painted facial features and wigs instead of rooted hair. These doll's fashions are inspired by the London swinging sixties mod movement, during which the fashions were bright, colorful and imaginative using contrasting colors, unusual fabrics and patterns. All clothing is made of the finest quality fabrics. "Swimsuit" is an original design by Doug James and Laura Meisner for the Somers & Field of London collection. This Daisy doll comes with a certificate of authenticity, pictured outfit and accessories. Stand not included. Measures approximately 16" tall. Good condition.
