Description
Michel Delacroix (born 1933) is a French painter in the "naif" style. Delacroix's primitive style in his paintings and graphics combine structure and detail with rich colour to convey the bustling, diverse activity of the streets of Paris. This particular lithograph depicts a snowy scene in paris in front of a restaurant, with children building a snowman. This piece is signed by Michel Delacroix himself, and is numbered 100/150. This lot also comes with a personal correspondence between the original purchaser of the lithograph, and Bertand Delacroix; the son of Michel Delacroix who opened numerous fine art gallaries in New York that featured his father's work. The piece measures approximately 22.5" by 28.5, and is in great condition.
