Description
Secretary Desk Handmade by The Nathan Margolis Shop. This Secretary Desk is a one-piece item with the upper section being a cabinet with two glass fronted doors with two adjustable shelves and three small drawers, and the lower section being a desk with folding flip-top and two long drawers. Metal eagle and finials at the top. Comes with a key that fits into the keyholes but doesn't seem to turn. Measures approximately 76"H x 34"W x 18.5"D. Good condition. The Nathan Margolis Shop opened in Hartford, Connecticut in 1894 and was family-run until its closure in 1973. Nathan Margolis and his son Harold were very skilled and prominent craftspeople known for fabricating authentic reproductions of antique furniture.
