Description
One German 800 silver bride's basket and a matching companion basket, each with a pierced and repoussé body of roses, rococo scrolls and lattice, a flaring paneled foot, a pierced handle and a clear scalloped liner. One foot rim is stamped with the crescent and crown, 800 and GERMANY, and an Old English M monogram is engraved in a cartouche. Total weight 1.94 lb (880 g) for the two basket bodies only, weighed without the handles and liners.
