Description
Chinese-style covered vase of square hu form, assembled from joined cream-colored plaques. Relief panels depict figures in a garden landscape, archaistic dragon scrolls, lappets and key-fret borders, accented in black, red and green. The lid has a guardian-lion finial; elephant-head handles with loose rings and pierced scroll flanges flank the body. Red Qianlong-style seal marks are stamped beneath the base and lid. Approximately 11 inches high.
