Description
Japanese kimekomi doll of Uba, the old woman of the Noh play Takasago, who with her husband Jo stands for long life and a lasting marriage. She holds a straw broom and has white fiber hair in a long tail and an orange brocade headband with an upright tab; her kimono is pink and silver brocade with a red floral pattern over a gold brocade collar. Uba figure only; the gray-blue cloth underside has a torn paper sticker remnant.
