Description
Two sterling silver vanity brushes. A Gorham clothes brush with a repoussé back of roses and C-scrolls around a cartouche engraved with a script monogram, marked with the Gorham lion, anchor and G and STERLING. An R. Blackinton & Co. handled whisk brush, its back and handle engraved with floral garlands, anthemion and strapwork, marked STERLING with the R, sword-pierced B and CO mark and numbered 6323. Total weight 187 g for both brushes, mixed material including the bristles and wood.
