Description
Soapstone water bird signed DIMU, the mark of German-Canadian carver D. Muckenheim, who carved animals in the Inuit style. The bird is dark green-gray with a long neck, incised scalloped wing feathers and dotted markings. Paired with a smooth olive-gray stone otter with a long tapering tail, its underside incised "GW 76," "FI" and "2-426-28."
