Description
Vintage Japanese gold-tone metal jewelry casket, the domed lid worked in relief with a rose and a sunflower over a diamond-pattern lattice of small blossoms inside a beaded border. Scrolling foliate sides rest on bracket feet, and the interior is lined in red velvet. Paired with a footed silver-tone trinket box in a scalloped flower shape, with pierced openwork sides and a lift-off lid mounted with a rose and leaves. The casket's gold-tone finish is worn at the feet and corners, and the trinket box is tarnished.
