Description
Nine baskets and small boxes, including a twill-plaited Tarahumara (Rarámuri) olla basket from Mexico with a flared, pointed rim, and an Egyptian wood box inlaid with a mother-of-pearl and marquetry star mosaic. Also includes a large round lidded palm basket, a lidded palm-leaf box plaited with purple diagonal stripes, a rectangular straw basket with braided rims and a fan-pattern border, and an embossed leather box painted with a red and gold star. The rest are a hexagonal lidded box covered in black and cream butterfly print, an open-weave basket with a wrapped handle and a miniature red basket.
