Description
Two carved and painted kachina dolls, each named and signed by its carver on the base. The White Buffalo, signed H. Polacca, has a white fur mane with small horns, a black-and-white mask, studded leather bandoliers and fur boots, and holds a rattle and bow. The Mudhead, signed Sam Lewis and dated Oct 82, has a knobbed red head and white fur mustache, holds a rattle and a feather, and carries a cloth bundle on his back. His wood base has a hairline check.
