Description
Thai ngob farmer's hat of folded palm leaf stitched over a fine bamboo lattice frame, with a pyramid palm-leaf cap at the crown and a bamboo rim hoop bound with cord. A woven bamboo head basket, the rang, sits inside and carries a red cord chin strap. Light surface wear and water spotting to the leaf, and one end of the rim hoop sits loose at its joint.
