Description
A.B. Frost "Expounding the Monroe Doctrine." Halftone print on paper after Frost's country-store scene: a village cobbler at his bench with eight men arguing politics around him, the shop doubling as the village post office. Signed "A.B.FROST" in the plate at lower right. Bills in the scene read "MAIL CLOSES" and "SALE." Mounted on a routed live-edge oak plaque under a glass pane held by two rosette screws.
