Description
River landscape with lock gates, a balustraded footbridge, and swans, a village and church spire beyond. Signed "Norbert Pugh" at the lower left. Norbert Sullivan Pugh (British, 1904-2001) worked as Norbert or Bert Pugh and painted English village and river subjects, including Thames scenes. Matted under glass in a gilt frame with a red velvet liner, with a sawtooth hanger on the back.
