Description
French salt-glazed stoneware gravity water filter with a brass tap at the base, the water drawn down through a charcoal chamber. Molded in relief around the body: "FILTRE FRANCAIS" over "DÉPOSÉ," "PERFECTIONNE" above a six-pointed star in a beaded roundel, then "AU CHARBON" and "PURIFICATEUR." No pottery or maker's mark. Circa 1900.
