Iraqi Marsh Arab (Ma'dan) embroidered wedding blanket. Two loom-width wool panels are joined and hand-embroidered edge to edge in wool, the seam hidden under the stitching, with two standing female figures, diamond medallions, and geometric and floral motifs on a red ground.
