Japanese painting of Chinese boys at play (karako), ink and color on paper. One boy plays a lute at a red table stacked with books while others gather with papers, instruments, and a banner — the One Hundred Boys subject of Edo-period Kano-school painting. Silk brocade mount border, wood frame with papered back. Unsigned.
