Description
Marine oil depicting a three-masted, full-rigged clipper ship under full sail through choppy open seas beneath a cloud-filled sky, with an American flag at the stern. Worked in oil on canvas with visible impasto in the breaking waves and whitecaps, set in a wide ornate gilt composition frame with foliate corner ornaments. Signed in gold script at lower center "Angelo".
