Description
Venetian lagoon view depicting the Santa Maria della Salute basilica, with gondolas and sailing vessels on the water and figures along the quay, rendered in heavy impasto in the decorative veduta tradition. Apparently oil on board, set in an ornate gilt composition frame with Rococo-style scroll and floral ornament.
