Description
Original impressionist oil on canvas depicting a flower garden, with bearded irises massed across the foreground, a stone column and iron railing in the mid-ground, and a Mediterranean villa with terracotta roofs and a distant coastline beyond. Worked throughout in heavy palette-knife impasto, signed in red script at lower right "C. Roman," and housed in an ornate gold-finish composition frame with a fabric liner.
