Description
Impasto oil on canvas depicting a Mediterranean coastal harbor, with white sailboats on a turquoise bay, a wooded headland, hillside villas on the far shore, and flowering shrubs in the foreground beneath a hazy warm sky. Worked in heavy impasto with loaded-brush and palette-knife technique, set in an ornate gilt composition frame with rocaille corner ornaments and beaded inner molding.
